Understanding your jewel

Every WithMe creation consists of two elements working together in perfect balance:
rhodium-plated sterling silver or solid 14k gold, and our WithMe resin, in which ashes or hair are often carefully sealed. The metal protects, the resin preserves, and both require a different kind of attention.

The silver or gold forms a timeless frame, strong yet refined.
The resin holds something infinitely more fragile: a memory.

By caring for both, you ensure the piece remains as beautiful and meaningful as the day it was made.

Daily care and mindful wear

Your jewel is designed to accompany you in everyday life. But even precious materials appreciate gentleness.

Remove it before bathing, swimming, or sleeping.
Water itself will not harm the metal, but chlorine, seawater, and chemical soaps can gradually dull its surface and affect the resin’s clarity.

Avoid wearing it when applying perfume, lotion, or hair products — tiny droplets can settle on the resin and create a thin film that reduces shine.

When you remove your jewel, take a moment to hold it softly between your fingers and wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. That simple gesture, brief but intentional, is enough to keep it luminous.

Caring for the resin

The WithMe resin is designed for permanence: crystal-clear, UV-resistant and hard enough to protect what it holds. Still, it should be treated like a gemstone rather than glass. Avoid exposing it to direct heat, high UV light, or abrasive contact such as sand or rough fabric. Do not immerse it in water or cleaning solutions, and never use alcohol, acetone, or silver polish.

To restore clarity, gently polish the surface with a microfiber cloth in small circular movements. If the resin ever appears cloudy from dust or fingerprints, a simple wipe is all it needs to regain its original transparency.

Caring for rhodium-plated silver and gold

The metal parts of your jewel are designed for brilliance and comfort.
Rhodium plating adds a protective layer that resists tarnish and gives the silver its luminous, mirror-like shine.

To preserve that finish:

• Keep your jewel away from rough surfaces and avoid stacking it against harder metals.

• Store it individually in its WithMe box or a soft pouch.

• Clean it occasionally with a soft, dry cloth. Never chemical silver dips or abrasive pastes.

If the rhodium layer gradually fades over time (a natural process with daily wear), we can professionally repolish and replate your piece to restore its pristine look.

Storing your jewel

When your jewel is not worn, store it in its original WithMe packaging, protected from sunlight, humidity, and temperature changes. Our boxes are lined with soft material to prevent scratches and oxidation. Avoid storing jewelry in the bathroom or near cleaning products. subtle exposure to humidity can affect both silver and resin over time.

The safest place for your jewel is the one designed for it, the box it arrived in.
